Israel1.JPG
This scarab (white steatite 1.4 cm) with a cartouche of Thutmosis III looks like most authentic scarabs do: tiny, chipped but with a clear message: "Men Kheper Re, Neb Maat", (Thutmosis, lord of justice). It was found in Israel. In the 23rd year of his reign Thutmosis III fought the famous battle of Meggido in Israel. See a picture with a reference scarab in Petrie 1917 (bottom, right side) References: Petrie 1917, Pl. XXVII, 56
RamessidMenKheperRe.JPG
One more Thutmosis III scarab (steatite 1.2 cm) See parallels from Tell el-Farah (South) in Israel. The fact, that one of them was found together with a Ramses II scarab (see picture No. 11) indicates, that this scarab dates to the Ramessid period (19th/20th Dyn). - found in Israel
